The 21 days of fasting was 3 days dry (no food or drink) then from the 3 day onwards we was allowed water. The church had a venue at the time so we all cramped up in there and the senior pastor was preaching and we prayed - a lot!

No one really worked since everyone was "devoted to the cause" as they'd say. I was around 19 and was playing football part-time so I only needed to be available for two/three evenings a week and a Saturday - which was cool.
