Although it was never mentioned, I never felt like I was of any importance to the company because I was under the impression that what I was doing didn't add value to them - which is true to say the least. The company had their way of doing things and in my opinion, the people who had the most influence weren't interested in adding data-driven decisions (there was some like my manager at the time who I completely adore). That's why I stated I was a luxury. Nobody ever said that to me, it was just how I felt
